So we have two pieces which together indicate that a decent level of trade union collective bargaining coverage can if not directly contribute to a more innovative society, then certainly will not harm it.

The fact is that the evidence is there that strong well organised unions are an essential part of a decent and effecient society – we just need to use it to back up a strong narrative that tells this story.
